Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences - University of Arkansas

A new multi-purpose laboratory and office complex with a large multi-purpose meeting for the U of A System Division of Agriculture. The building includes many energy efficient features in its MEP design, including energy recovery units, high efficiency LED lighting, variable volume chilled water system, variable volume heating water system, and rainwater harvesting. The research laboratories require extensive HVAC and control systems that include fume hoods, compressed air piping, gas piping, and special piping for chemical waste. This project was designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
