New stand-alone, juvenile detention center with 24 beds and provisions for an additional 8 beds. Allen County’s existing juvenile detention center was worn and overcrowded, so a new building was required. Areas included Intake, Medical, Administrative, Classrooms, Cells, Dayrooms, and Indoor Gymnasium. Design included smoke control for day rooms, security fixtures and equipment, a natural gas generator, and security electronics. The building included natural lighting to reduce energy consumption from the building, which the MEP system implemented into their design.
